Our Founder
I never set out to be the founder of anything. I set out to be a mother. In that role, I’ve walked through storms most people will never see. The Beautiful Sky Project wasn’t born from perfection or having all the answers—it was born from the messy, exhausting, beautiful reality of raising three daughters with very different needs.
My middle daughter, lovingly called Sky, is the soul of this mission. Born at just 23 weeks, her life has been shaped by surgeries, hospital stays, and medical challenges that reshaped mine in an instant. My youngest, Beautiful, is Sky’s unexpected gift and greatest teacher—fearless, mischievous, and loving. She’s taught us how to push past barriers with joy. And my oldest, Naish, reminds me that not all battles are visible. Her journey through mental health struggles has shown me the importance of compassion, advocacy, and meeting every child where they are.
The Beautiful Sky Project isn’t just about my daughters—it’s about this journey as a mother: the sleepless nights, advocacy fights, quiet moments of joy, heartbreaks, and victories that mean everything. It’s about learning to balance wildly different needs, often feeling like I’m falling short, yet waking up every day determined to try again.
I don’t have it all figured out, and I never will. But what I do know is this: no parent should feel alone, no sibling should feel invisible, and no child should be defined only by their diagnosis or struggles.
I started The Beautiful Sky Project not as an expert, but as a mother who believes deeply in the power of love, community, and hope. This story isn’t polished—it’s real. And in that honesty, I hope to remind families everywhere that even after the darkest storms, there will always be a beautiful sky.
